Shipping and Move Management

Vantage Relocation work with a carefully chosen panel of household goods shipping companies, van lines and storage providers, providing worldwide coverage. Each company is a member of FIDI, the global alliance of professional international moving companies, who are bound by their strict code of conduct.

As a result, our in-house Relocation Consultants can offer our clients a point to point service for the moving of household goods, throughout the world. We will organise pre-move surveys at the assignees’ convenience, who will then be able to choose their preferred supplier based on quality and price.

Our robust relationships with these moving companies means that we are able to drive cost efficiencies and quality and our one stop management service ensures cost and quality control for our clients.

Furniture Rental

Furniture Rental

There are various scenarios where the rental of household furniture is an appropriate thing to do. It might be that an employee chooses to rent an unfurnished property but the shipment of their own furniture is delayed. The rental of furniture therefore means that the assignee can still move into their preferred property and still have comfortable, albeit temporary, furniture.

Assignees have a vast choice of furnishing lines at different prices and quality levels. This gives them the flexibility to choose a range of furniture to suit their budget.

Once chosen, we take care of the ordering, delivery and installation process, ensuring that the assignee arrives at/returns to a furnished home ready to live in.

Furniture can generally be rented from as little as one month, up to 3 years and turn around times can be very quick.

Expense Management

Expense Management

Expense Management is a key component of any company-supported relocation. Any company that offers its employees relocation support, must ensure that all relocation costs are reported in a timely and accurate manner

Our expense management system provides end to end recording and reporting of all move related costs, ensuring along the way that each cost is correctly allocated to the right cost centre and is tax compliant. We can pay suppliers and reimburse assignees and provide end of year reports for each move, to enable accurate P11D/PSA reporting.

Culture and language support

Cultural and Language Training

Moving to, and working and living in a foreign country is a big undertaking for many employees. It can be an uncomfortable and intimidating experience and it is proven that relocation assignments can fail if an assignee and/or their family, struggles to adapt and fit in with a host culture.

Even though employees may work together, differences in language and approaches to work can cause friction. For families, language barriers and ways of doing things can equally cause problems for spouses/partners and children alike.

We work in partnership with leading consultants, who offer a raft of excellent training to support assignees and increase their chances of success. These are tailored, high quality EFL and Foreign language training, cultural awareness training and country briefings, which will provide employees and their families with the cross cultural education to enable them to settle and integrate more easily.

Bank Account Set Up

Vantage Relocation provide support to assignees and their families,  who need help with setting up a bank account, before they have secured an address in the UK.

We will arrange an appointment at a suitable, conveniently located bank, where they will take you through the process of getting everything set up.

If a relocation fails, it can often be because the spouse or partner has not settled into their new life and environment. For this reason, Vantage Relocation places equal emphasis on the needs of the employee’s partner. We can offer assistance with the following:
